India is a country with numerous cultures, enormous diversity, gigantic number of religious shrines, an equally innumerable tourist places. It’s the seventh largest country and the largest democracy in the whole of world. Such is its vastness that almost all of the climatic references can be found in this single country. You will also be amazed by the geographical diversity of this country; there are lofty mountain peaks in the north (K2 being the 2nd highest peak in the world), vast plains in the east, plateaus and deserts in the west and tropical back waters in the south. The populace however is united irrespective of such diversity. They differ in their religions, languages, customs, festivals, food, habitat etc. The religion of Buddha began in 563 B.C. If you believe in Buddha, you are called a Buddhist. Buddhists believe in karma and rebirth.

India ranks high in many a different aspects and tourism too is a part of it. It is among the top tourist destinations in the world. It is not only famous for its inhabitants and geographical diversity but its wildlife parks, national sanctuaries, pilgrimage places, hill stations, fairs and festivals also play a vital role in bringing foreign tourists to their land. Unesco has marked a large number of monuments World heritage sites which double up as tourist destinations. They number in hundreds and are spread across the length and breadth of the country.

Traveling India and visiting places is a once in a lifetime opportunity which should not be missed. In India the tourism industry is one of the largest sectors and is growing abundantly. It is slowly merging into itself wild life tourism, eco tourism, adventure tourism; medicine tourism etc. talking of tourism destinations in India, the temples India can not be left far. There are an extremely large number of temples of countless deities in this country and ranges from as small as a single stone to big temples as big as they cover almost 3km in their perimeter. Not only temples there are churches, masjids and gurudwaras too that too abundant in number. Taking all these in account one can only see value and tradition linked to visiting India for a tour or to travel through out it.

Tourism India is taking India to greater heights by contributing noteworthy amounts to the GDP; it employs a large portion of our population and ropes in almost 15% of foreign exchange income. Thus if you are thinking to visit India never ever let the thought escape your mind. Go for it and mind my words you won’t be disappointed even for a second during your stay.
