Okay we all know that in order to be successful in anything in a reasonable amount of time, we must have the proper education and training. Whether we are participating in a live training at work as a part of professional development or an event for our business, we must have knowledgeable people presenting the information.
Or what about training tools such as DVD’s, CD’s, booklets or website videos? The training must be quality and it must address the needs of the individual who is receiving it.
I personally like training that I can access 24 hours a day. I like to have the benefit of going over something as much as I like so I can retain the information and put it to use. And to be more specific, I prefer my training to be Internet accessible. If I can get online and watch a video stream and rewind it and go over the materials and perform the tasks as I’m watching it, that’s the best for me. But that’s just me.
Some people prefer live events because they want to connect with the trainer on a personal level. Some like CD’s that they can listen to while driving in their car or they can download it on their mp3 player. Some people prefer manuals because they can take notes, highlight and underline key points and come back to them when they want.
Regardless of what you prefer, quality training can do wonders for your organization and your bank account.
Here are just a few things I think quality training can do for you.
-
Increases Profitability. When you’re educated and know what to do, you will make money. Your learning curve is diminished and you don’t make as many mistakes as if you were totally new at this. You have the benefit of other’s mistakes as a learning tool.
-
Improves Quality. When you know what you are doing, you tend to make fewer mistakes. When you make fewer mistakes, the quality of your products and services increases. People will pay for quality.
-
Increases Productivity. When you are properly trained and you know how to do something right, your productivity increases. You are not stuck on learning and trying to figure things out and because of this, you’re more productive. Also when you are productive, you can achieve your long-term goals quicker.
-
Creates Team Spirit. When people know what they’re doing and productivity increases, it creates a good atmosphere for the team. When the team is doing well people want to continue what they’re doing and it is easier to work with others especially when folks are competent.
-
Boost Morale. Good training is a great morale booster because when your team is properly trained, they are confident in doing more because they know they are well trained. Knowledge and understanding builds confidence and with confidence comes assertiveness. When folks become more assertive, more gets done and more money is made for you.
-
Changes Image. Your image is everything and if you and your team are educated and trained, you let you customers know that you are professional and that you are the person to do business with. The right image can bring you the right money for your pockets.
To YOUR success,
