Ok, you have been to the doctor and you have received your medicine but you still need to locate remedies for strep throat that you can use pending the medicine do it’s thing. There is an ample supply of options available for you in helping you deal with this painful situation. Remedies for strep throat can be located right in your kitchen cabinet and most are easy to use.
Salt water is a super home remedy for helping ease the burning feeling in your throat. There is not anything more soothing than a good salt-water rinse when you have this situation. I have to admit that this is my preferred of the natural remedies for strep throat. This simple mixture is comprised of, you guessed it, water and salt. That is all there is to it.
You have to ensure that the water is tepid enough to break up the salt completely. In addition, you want to gargle on a regular basis. This is a home remedy for strep throat that goes largely unnoticed, but it is one of the most effective. You can feel the relief right away when you gargle with salt water. This is a reliable sore throat remedy when you have any discomfort in this area.
Moisture is important in the healing process. Many of the remedies for strep throat involve water in some form. This includes a nice, hot, steamy shower to moisten your throat. You could also do well with a humidifier as well. Saline solution is also great for addressing dry nasal passages. Salt water is a great natural strep throat remedy that does wonders.
Since you are using water to gargle, you might as well put some aside for drinking. Infections are flushed from your system quicker if you have a sufficient intake of fluids. Drinking an abundance of liquids is not one of the most appealing remedies for strep throat because the idea of swallowing is painful in itself. Try drinking right after you gargle to ease the discomfort.
Your body heals much quicker if you give it time to rest. Take a day to spend dozing on and off while watching some television. Get up to gargle and drink some fluids. These simple sore throat remedies will do wonders for your recovery.
Remember that these remedies for strep throat are useful in helping you get better sooner, but this condition is serious and you should seek medical attention right away. In addition, remember to follow your doctor’s advice.
