When looking for a casino destination in the Caribbean, there are quite a few places you can look. One of the best ways to profile these entertainment venues is to do it based on their location in the Caribbean. These high profile casinos are found in places such as Puerto Rico, St. Croix, the Bahamas, Aruba, and even the Dominican Republic.

One of the first locations to check out would be Aruba, the birthplace of Caribbean Stud Poker. Aruba offers a variety of different casinos including the Excelsior Casino, the Alhambra Casino, and the Allegro Casino. The island's largest and most recognized casinos are the Crystal Casino and the Stellaris Casino. The Crystal Casino is open 24/7 and is found at the Renaissance Aruba Resort. The Stellaris is at the Aruba Marriott and is the largest casino in that area. One nice thing about all of these casinos is that the dollar is the main form of currency.

In the Dominican Republic you will run across destinations such as Casino Dominicus, located in La Romana. While most of this nation's 120 casinos do not offer gambling 24/7 they still are open until late into the early morning. Puerto Rico is similar to the Dominican republic in this respect, although they do have some casinos like the Ritz-Carlton that is open throughout the entire night.

The next major spot to talk about would be the Bahamas. Here you will find one of the largest and most spectacular casino destinations in all of the Caribbean at the Atlantis Paradise Island. The Atlantis gives its visitors a gorgeous 14-acre waterscape view and its coast is known to be the home of over 100 different kinds of tropical fish. The casino itself is huge and has baccarat, roulette, blackjack, and over 800 different slot machines. The Atlantic cater only to tourists and actually does not even allow the Bahamians to gamble.

A little history on the Atlantis Paradise Island is that it was created by Sol Kerzner who was a South African hotel magnate. It was first known as the Trump Plaza but changed the name to Atlantis once the Royal towers were finally constructed. the 600 suite hotel first opened on March 28, 2007 and was soon followed by the 497 room tower on December 19, 2007. Since then, this hotel and casino resort has been known for its high class and incredible customer service. To reserve a room in the Royal Towers section usually costs around $25,000 a night.

Along with being an incredible high class resort, the Atlantis Casino also offers a variety of different tournaments and challenges to attract customers. They have an upcoming $25K BlackJack Tournament coming up on April 24th where players have the opportunity to win a grand prize of $15,000.
