Leupold is excellent for Distance Calculation, as well as exterior casing and durability. Along with Garmin, Leupold offers products that are generally near perfection when it comes to being waterproof and extremely durable in rough conditions. The main thing the Leupold does deliver as a specialty is both Distance Calculation and its adjustable sights, ranging up to 750 yards, nearly 6x the normal magnification. Customer service has been known to be a little shaky from time to time, but no company is perfect.

The last company I am willing to recommend is SkyCaddie! Most of their more modern golf gps systems releases have included IntelliGreen Technology, capable of truly displaying the entire golf course, every hole, every divot in spectacular digital detail. Their units are also designed with a water resistant / durable exterior, making them very long lasting and, due to the base map directory, very accurate.
