A trampoline is a device that is typically used by people for exercise. It is essential for trampoline fitness. Firemen also use these during emergency fire situations.

There is also a type of sport called "trampolining" that deals with the use of trampolines. This competitive Olympic sport is for gymnasts who perform acrobatics on these trampolines. The types of jumps used by gymnasts range from the straddle, tuck and pike positions to backward or forward twists and somersaults. Depending on the level of training, simple to complex jumps are used during trampoline competitions.

Double mini-trampoline and synchronized trampoline are two relative competitive rebound sports that also make use of trampolines.

Since the use of trampolines is now becoming so popular, word about trampoline fitness is spreading. Of course, you don’t need to stress yourself too much on these trampoline exercises. If you’re not a gymnast or if you’re not planning to join trampoline competitions, there are simple exercises you can do. Here is a step-by step guide to a very simple trampoline exercise you can do every morning:

Step 1 – Before you actually use your trampoline for exercise, practice bouncing on it. The length of time you’ll need for practice depends on your balance and agility. The important factor here is – you need to be comfortable with your trampoline before doing any type of exercise with it.

Step 2 – Stand in the center of your trampoline. Your feet should be slightly apart and your arms are at your sides. This position helps maintain balance. To start bouncing, slightly spring from your knees without even lifting your feet from your trampoline.

Step 3 – For variation, you can also walk in place. To do this, lift your heels slowly. Your toes should remain on your trampoline. For balance, swing your arms gently at your sides.

Step 4 – Trampoline fitness can also be good for the heart. You can also do jogging exercises on your trampoline. Just lift your feet about 1 to 2 inches off your trampoline. Then, swing your arms in an alternate fashion (as if you’re actually jogging down the street).

Step 5 – Do the jumping jack exercise. Just spread your feet apart while bouncing up and clapping your hands over your head.

As soon as you finish with this simple trampoline workout, just stand still until the motion of the trampoline stops. This is a good trampoline fitness program you can do even at home.
