White Paper World is a place for IT professionals to collaborate, obtain insight, share knowledge, and make intelligent purchasing decisions. Currently, there are several IT websites that are editorial based, and low in user generated content. While this is a great thing, White Paper World plans to create a more user centric platform, where peers can share information across a vast network of high ranking technology professionals. White Paper World will be a professional network, specializing in problem solving and enterprise software reviews.
In all, White Paper World will attract network administrators, database professionals, IT developers, managers, and executive, including CIOs and CTOs. We will attract a market that encompasses over 100 Million people around the world, and a market that has a true unlimited growth potential. With technology, there is no limit to growth, and thus, there is no limit on the technology market's workforce. We will attract not only IT professionals from North America, but also European nations, the Middle East, and technology rich countries such as Japan and India. This is more than a $100 Billion market when you take B2B advertising into account.
While there are no direct competitors, there will certainly be several networks trying to obtain business from the same potential pool of buyers. We will separate ourselves by changing the way the industry works. Rather than editorial content, and reviews from the "big wigs," we will offer user generated content and idea sharing, unmatched by anyone in the industry. Further, we will beat our competitors on price point, since we will have more advertising inventory to sell - it is proven that social media sites attract more visitors, and generate more page views per visit than comparable editorial networks.
Revenues will be generated from the sale of online advertising and marketing solutions. Initially, we will start with banners and text links, either charging on a CPM (cost per thousand impressions) or CPC (cost per click) basis. Next, we will incorporate B2B lead generation, email marketing blasts, and a monetized job posting service. With our audience and traffic numbers will come advertising revenue. Once a company sees the value of putting their message in front of our unique audience, it will be tough for them to pass it up. We will seek to sign vendors in the technology, software, hardware, and telecommunications industries. The targets will be top level marketing managers and executives.
The team will be made up of a 40-50 employee structure, starting with sales. Sales will sell the product to marketers, and then pass the torch onto client services, who will handle all client marketing interactions. Sales and Client Services will be the main contact point for the customers. Below this, we will have a community and website development team on the back end. We will also have people working accounts payable, accounts receivable, and taking care of the legal side of things.
The promise with White Paper World, is that we are going to make a significant amount of revenue, in a low cost service based industry. Once we get a steady audience visiting the network, advertising inventory will take care of itself - we will have all of the users and traffic that we need to sell interactive marketing units and lead generation programs. We will generate about $1 Million in projected revenue over the first year, followed by 50% growth in the next 2-5. This number is actually conservative, given the size of the target market, and the price point of our advertising solutions. With that, we ask for $4.75 Million in funding, which will be recuperated in revenue with 3 year's time. Following the first 5 years in business, we will reach milestones of $10 Million in revenue by year 10, and $50 Million and beyond within the coming twenty years. This business model is proven, yet also innovative, as it something that has never been done before - we are taking social media, online advertising, and the b2b technology world to a new level.
