Living in the world today, it is not difficult to see that our environment is in danger. Lately, it seems like most people are pitching in and doing their part to save the planet. Many of us recycle, use reusable grocery bags, and even drive Hybrid cars. But one of the best ways to help the environment is to utilize clean energy solutions to power our homes and businesses.

Solar power is much better for the environment than traditional forms of energy like coal, gasoline, and oil. Use of this alternative energy prevents coal from being burned, keeps Co2 from being released into the atmosphere, and actually saves water (about 30% of total energy consumption in the home is caused by running water waiting to heat up).

Many people seem to be intimidated by the initial cost of installing solar panels. Here at Cromwell Environmental, we are dedicated to providing affordable alternatives that can help customers transition into relying on natural resources for all of their energy needs. Once solar panels are installed, there are no recurring costs and they are virtually maintenance free. They pay for themselves in no time. Since the demand is currently more than the supply, some households can even make money from installing solar panels. If more solar energy is produced than can be used, the utility company can buy the extra energy. This is called net-metering.

As a part of the federal government's 2008 bailout plan, congress extended the solar rebate for 8 years. This means that homeowners and businesses are eligible to receive a 30% rebate for the price of the system in the form of a tax credit. 2010 marks the beginning of new state incentives for Missouri. With the combination of the state and federal utility rebate, installation of a sustainable energy system could possibly pay for itself in one year.

Solar energy is becoming more and more price competitive as the cost of traditional energy keeps rising. The main difference is solar energy doesn't run out, and it doesn't hurt our environment. The sooner you call Cromwell Environmental, the sooner you can start saving money, not to mention our planet.
