One of the essential things you must know with your website is that you have to diversify your income.

Supposing you have most of your ads with Google AdSense. Let’s suppose it makes up 90% of your online profit. Supposing Google will cancel your account! What would you do if you lose 90% of your online revenue? Can you recover your losses immediately? For most, it would be very difficult.

So if you have a website, expand your income by not only making use of Pay Per Click sponsors, but also use a Direct Leads sponsor, a cost per action sponsor, or even promote other products or services and get paid a commission per sale.

You just need to pay attention to the performance of your website. Make certain that you are checking your stats to see which banners and ads are doing well and swap out the ones that aren't functioning as well. It's also a fine idea to vary your banners every few months anyway to get "fresh blood" on your site. One should to do this because your visitors will soon overlook all your ads and banners as they become "banner blind".

Developing your online income also includes creating other sites. At present, I have more than a few websites that I acquire income from. Almost 4 months previously, Google banned one of my websites from their search engine! This is not an unusual thing amongst Internet Marketers. It seems that my website had a lot of outgoing links to sponsor ads and they judge it a "link farm". Just then, I was being paid around $1000 / month for that website. Can you imagine the disaster if I didn’t have my other websites to pick up the slack?

Having them on various servers is another way of increasing your online earnings. It’s not expensive to host a website. Let’s suppose throw one or two of them up on a $5.99 a month server and pay for a year's worth of hosting, then you’re on the right track. Aside from the search engine benefits, you also need not worry if one of your servers will go down.

Just remember to always look for new streams of income for striving to see additional ways of earning money online is worth it in the end.
