Acne can happen to anyone, of any sex, any race, and any culture. There are a variety of reasons why we get acne. Acne usually occurs when people are teenagers and going through hormonal changes, but it can also occur in adults. It can be a very difficult time for teenagers when they are going through the difficult phase of puberty. Insecurities may rise even more if someone is suffering from that one pimple that sticks out and make an individual feel like they have a spotlight on their face. There are various types of acne such as cystic acne, or nodulocystic acne. Nodule and cystic acne is when small bumps form on the skin. They are not like regular acne that you can apply force to and pop.
Typical remedies
include a soothing tonic of rose water and witch hazel, applied with cotton. The calendula plant (marigold, as we know it) was also a major ingredient in many beauty products because of it's healing powers.
Inhalation of steam, to witch chamomile, sage leaves and thyme were added, were used to purge the skin of impurities.
Very inflamed areas were often treated with an application of fresh lemon juice, which is a proven germ killer. lemon juice also brings more circulation to the troubled area. further helping to remove toxins.
Teas were often recommended for their normalizing action on the system, especially burdock, dandelion and red clover tea, taken twice a day for a month.
Carrot, grapefruit and celery juices help to detoxify the skin from the inside out.
Onion juice, with it's antibiotic properties was rubbed on the skin to clear up acne. Actually onions were considered so valuable, that they were even buried with royalty.

Drink water. Water is the best solution for acne. Acne can be healed with drinking water. Water cleanses the system and can repair the body from inside out. It allows the removal for all toxins in the human body. If you are trying to get rid of your acne drink ten glasses a day.
-
Be careful how much you touch your face in the day. There is so many germs that we come into contact with and we can easily irritate our skin over and over again. Wash your hands often and be aware that bacteria are everywhere.
-
Eat more fruits and vegetables every day. People tend to think acne comes from bad hygiene or eating junk food, but it is not necessarily true. While we could all aim to eat a little healthier, fruits and vegetables are the way to go when seeking acne treatment. You can also eat more fiber to keep the pH levels balanced in the digestive tract. Eat more whole pasta, green peas, brown rice, nuts, broccoli, barley, oats, lima beans, seeds, and apples.
-
Take vitamin A supplements or eat Vitamin A type foods such as chicken, eggs, beef and turkey. Vitamin A is excellent for the skin and can rid you of acne faster than over the counter acne products.
You do not have to suffer with acne alone. You can try numerous natural alternatives before turning to medications that may have side effects, or over the counter ointments that may cause skin irritation. Take care of your body inside and out.
