Lego have relaunched their Harry Potter range of building toys in 2010 with wave of new sets due for release in October. One of these sets includes a Lego brick reproduction of the fan favourite house, The Burrow. For those not in the know about Harry Potter (all four of you), the Burrow is another name for the quirky house belonging to the Weasley family.
Ron Weasley is Harry Potter's best friend and we first visit the strange home in book two, Chamber Of Secrets. JK Rowling described the house in great detail and highlighted its unique wizarding furniture and layout, including a rather haphazard construction over its many levels that are no doubt held together by magic rather than bricks and mortar.
This set depicts a scene in book number six, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, where Harry and the Weasley family have gathered for Christmas but find themselves under attack from two of Lord Voldemort's death Eaters. Bellatrix Lestrange and Fenrir Greyback, the two main DeathEaters are featured in this set and it is the first time either have been featured as Lego minifigures.
Also featured for the first time are Ginny Weasley and Mr (Arthur) and Mrs (Molly) Weasley. Harry Potter is also featured in a new designed blue and grey torso. The figures are all amazing, well designed and intricately detailed, and most have two expressions on their heads. Based on the list of figures alone, this set will be popular with Lego and Harry Potter fans!
The house itself is represented by a naturally haphazard three level structure as well as a pig pen and a fire that can transport figures by Flu Powder. Lego have used a nice color scheme on the house, with the majority of the structure using dark red and brown with white and light blue highlights. Each floor has a separate room, with two bedrooms and a kitchen area being the main detailed areas.
Regardless of what people think of the house, it is the figures that will attract fans and this set is sure to be a hit ahead of the seventh movie's release in November.
