Part Two: Jeff Usner Shares on Communication
Welcome to part two of a three-part series on communication.
Earlier I talked about starting your journey with your family or team. You may start off alone. At first your business may be a one person operation but later if you start hiring people to grow your business, then you need to communicate with your team about your vision.
It's also really critical for those who are in a relationship to communicate their goals clearly to their spouse or significant other. I have heard of newlyweds whose spouses don't support them or get frustrated at the challenges.
When I first started in this internet marketing business, there were sacrifices I had to make. For example, let's say you and your family are used to spending around 5 hours a night together. Then all of a sudden you start a business and now you are there with them only an hour or two every night.
That's why you need to communicate your vision to your family. Let them know ahead of time what to expect. Tell them that you will need to stay up late and will be working 3 hours a night, or whatever time you need to learn a new skill set. Communicate your goals to them so that your team shares your vision and support you.
Starting your own business will demand some sacrifices and you will probably be spending less time with your family at first. You'll just have to manage your time wisely. Make sure you still spend time with your family.
If you don't do this then instead of being your biggest encouragers, your family will be your biggest discouragers. The worst thing that can distract you from your business is when people start to bail out.
In this journey of starting your own business, it's not going to be smooth, easy driving all the way. There will be roadblocks. Since you are the one in the driver's seat, it's your responsibility to get your team ready for the bumpy ride ahead of you.
That's all for now, there are more tips in part three of this series.
I'm a country boy from PA that found this thing called the internet - gave up medical school & pioneered several multi-million dollar companies online. I've generated millions of profit generating leads online. I love helping others reach their goals. Check out http://www.jeffusner.com for more free training!
