MLM recruiting is not always easy and sometimes in desperation we make poor recruiting choices in our business. It is important to remember that first and foremost you have undertaken a business venture. You want to build your business in such a way that it is healthy and profitable. Your choices in recruiting your downline can have a tremendous bearing on those two objectives. Settling for people who merely have a pulse and can fog a mirror will not help you build a successful business.
Unfortunately too many network marketing business owners settle for anyone. Their downline is full of people who have never sold a thing, never recruited a single person and never even attempted to do anything with their business. I've had people join my companies who would not even return my "welcome aboard" calls so I could help them get started. These are definitely not the type of individuals we want on our MLM business teams. By taking a few extra steps, you can ensure that you are working with quality people who share your ideals and passion for the business.
One of the best decisions a network marketer can make is the creation of some sort of screening and filtering system. A sales funnel can work well for this purpose as it will allow you to distinguish the tire kickers from the serious players. In my own business I rely heavily on my sales funnel as an evaluation and mlm recruiting tool. I am constantly reviewing my Aweber statistics to see who is opening my emails, clicking the links, using the tools and accessing the training opportunities I am providing to my prospects. When I see someone who is consistently taking action on the things that I am presenting to them, then I know that this is someone I would like to have on my team. They are showing initiative and motivation. Those two elements are the bedrock foundation of their long term success in any business.
Another line of evaluation is through interaction. I am constantly looking at who comments on my social media posts, retweets my material or communicates with me on a consistent basis. These are individuals that I know I can work with, because we are creating a relationship connection. I will look for recruiting opportunities that allow me to develop that personal relationship into a business building relationship. People who connect with you are much easier to build a business with than people who don't respond to your emails and phone calls.
A final point of evaluation is a pre-screening form. Instead of directing interested persons directly to your recruiting page, you can instead set up a simple screening form that asks a series of questions meant to uncover a persons true reasons for joining your business. This form does two things, it discourages window shoppers and tire kickers as they simply find answering 10-12 questions to be too much work for them. Secondarily it makes the thought of working with you seem much more valuable, as you are not willing to simply work with anyone who comes along. Although this MLM recruiting strategy may reduce the total number of signups into your business, it will increase the overall quality of your signups and make your business much more profitable and stable in the long run.
These are just a few evaluation points that you can use in your day to day MLM recruiting efforts.
Using good MLM recruiting tools is just the beginning of a successful network marketing venture. Carl Willis provides weekly training to teach you how to use an MLM recruiting system online.
