Compensation is a term that is used to describe the money that is given when someone is injured or damaged in some way. In the workplace, compensation refers to the money that is paid when an employee is injured on the job. The employee is injured on the job during normal working hours, the employer's worker's compensation insurance will take over and pay the medical expenses and lost wages. Worker's compensation insurance is different than a medical insurance policy and employees do not have to pay for it at all. The insurance is in place to benefit the employee and their family if something happens on the job that injures and prevents the employee from working.

Employees can rest assured that they will be cared for if something terrible happens while they are at work. There are many reasons for an injury on the job and it happens all the time. The law requires employers to carry this insurance policy for all workers in their employ. This keeps employees from suffering the financial burden of an injury that occurs while they are at work.
Workers can be assured that everything will be taken care of if they become injured on the job. Employees never have to worry about their lost wages or medical expenses if they are put out of work because of an injury. This important benefit from the employer allows the worker to feel safe on the job. A worker's compensation policy inspires a sense of trust for the employee that everything will be handled if they are injured.
A worker can feel financially secure on the job because they will be paid while they are out of a job because of an injury. Workers will be able to feed their family even though they are unable to get to their job because of their injuries. The mounting medical expenses will be paid for by the insurance policy and until the employee gets well and goes back to work, everything will be covered. The policy will also cover the employees family in the event the worker is killed on the job or dies because of their injuries.
