What Is Cladding Coating?

Cladding coating is essentially recoating metal cladding sheets, typically found on warehouse, industrial and commercial premises, due to the original plastisol coating delaminating or fading.

How Do I Know What Type Of Cladding Refurbishment I Will Need?

Following an enquiry, a site visit or image review of your premises will be arranged to examine the condition of the cladding and the extent of any fading, peeling or corrosion. After sufficient information has been noted, you will then be recommended a cladding refurbishment plan ranging from a high performance system for badly damaged cladding to rejuvenation for cladding in moderate condition. An onsite sample can also be performed should you require it.

What Steps Are Involved In My Cladding Refurbishment?

After a job has been agreed with both parties, work can commence with the first plan of action being to ensure all safety measures are in place and access equipment is on site. Your cladding will then be pressure washed at a rate of up to 3000psi on the whole area which is to be recoated. This gives your cladding a clean, even surface to work with - cleared of any foreign bodies, retained dirt and, most importantly, the peeling plastisol coating.

Areas of corrosion will then be prepared with a mechanical wire brush to ensure a sound shiny, smooth finish and a metal cladding primer will be applied to any areas of exposed galvanised metal. Two coats of cladding paint will then be sprayed in line with the specifications recommended in the first meeting. After all work is carried out, your premises will be cleaned and tidied and you will be provided with a guarantee if agreed.
