Many companies are overwhelmed by trade show displays because they believe them to be too costly. Yet they recognize that portable displays can have a huge benefit to their company, if only they are able to obtain one within their budget. Companies under financial stress can still find affordable booths for trade shows. These five tips can make it happen.
Tip 1: Shop Around For Your Portable Displays
Businesses that sell exhibits are in competition. Whenever businesses are in competition, they have an incentive to offer lower prices than the others who offer the same goods or services. You can take advantage of this by seeing whether one company can offer more for the same price than its competition. Check the base cost of the exhibit you want, but also take into account the various offers that come with it. One might well be more favorable than another.
Tip 2: Consider Downsizing Your Booths For Trade Shows
If you're finding that money is tight, consider choosing a smaller exhibit. Small booths still have a tremendous impact if they are well designed, and they are almost always a money saver. If you have a preference for a particular type of exhibit, but can't afford its largest size, consider going a few sizes smaller. The style will still attract visitors, but your overall budget doesn't have to increase.
Tip 3: Go Modular
For long-term financial savings, many businesses find modular portable displays to be the best option. These booths for trade shows are inherently customizable and can be adapted on the spot. They are the most flexible exhibits on the market, but they may not be the most inexpensive to purchase initially. If your budget can handle the slightly greater expense now, you may be able to avoid purchasing additional booths down the road.
Tip 4: Form A Friendship With Your Provider
Establishing a working history with one company can be more expensive at first, but may well lead to discounted rates in the future. People recognize the value of having a committed client; if you work with one designer for some time and then request discounts or lower prices, they might well accept. They may even offer them independently. Keep in mind that this is not universally true of all companies, but it's something that's worth considering.
Tip 5: Buy Trade Show Displays In Bulk
Although most small businesses won't purchase more than one exhibit at a time, larger organizations can often save money by buying in bulk. Whenever you buy more than one of something, particularly if it's a fairly large item, you're a benefit to the company you buy from. They may well throw in additional incentives to thank you for your purchase. That might mean a flat discount on the other exhibits or additional accessories that you don't have to pay for. Again, it depends on the business.
When you follow these tips, you'll be doing everything you can to get a great booth at a lower cost. Make sure that you don't sacrifice design for price, and you'll get the same benefits without paying the higher price.
