Oklahoma City Thunder embark on a fascinating journey as they look to take over the baton from the LA Lakers and aim to rule the NBA West Conference for a long time to come. After a greatly disappointing first season in which the OKC Thunder won only 22 of their games for the season, the fans were treated to a wonderful second season in which not only did the OKC Thunder win 50 of their games, but a gem by the name of Kevin Durant, the captain, was unearthed. For a franchisee just two seasons old, the Oklahoma City Thunder have come a long way and are within striking distance of etching their name on the pages of history.

As we take a look at the Oklahoma City Thunder roster, it is great to note that arguably the most valuable player of the NBA Kevin Durant, the OKC Thunder skipper who is ably supported by the likes of upcoming star point guard Russell Westbrook and the versatile Jeff Green. This is possibly the strongest team the OKC Thunder franchise has ever put on the court taking into account the Thunder starting line up as well as the Thunder bench which looks pretty strong. The OKC Thunder can beat absolutely anyone when Durant, Westbrook and Green are firing on all cylinders.

All Star Kevin Durant along with team mate Russell Westbrook were the players to be reckoned with when team USA won the FIBA World Basketball Championship 2010. Oklahoma City Thunder skipper Kevin Durant made the headlines as he became the youngest scoring leader in league history by averaging 30.1 points per game and becoming the second youngest to reach 4000 career points. Durant went on to set the franchise record with the OKC Thunder after he scored 2472 points in a single season and then making the All NBA first team in only his third season. Rising star Russell Westbrook deserves special mention for his performance as he was a fixture on all 82 games featuring the Oklahoma City Thunder and was honoured as player of the Week on the first week of February. Fans and players are united in the wish that the titles continue to flow with many great games to be played. With such talents at their disposal, the OKC Thunder are in a great position to take over the West from the aging Lakers!
