Every company wants a trade show exhibit that will immediately impress visitors, drawing them over and holding their attention, even amidst a crowd of flashy trade show booths offering related products. Yet surprisingly few companies consider the advantage of a malleable stand, capable of being rearranged and changed depending on the situation.
Moveable Trade Show Booths
The first advantage of a well-considered initial design is that a trade show exhibit could potentially be made so that it could adapt to different scenarios at different exhibitions. For example, companies cannot always predict the exact orientation of their space before arriving at the exhibition hall. Having a display that can adapt to being on the end versus being in the middle of a group of booths is a big advantage. Instead of wasting space on one side because of poor planning, an adaptable display will allow you to change it without having to place another order with your design company.
One Trade Show Exhibit, Many Events
If you properly design your display, it will be able to last far longer than a more specialized display created for one single event. Consider the direction of your company currently, and where it might go in the next few years. A good exhibit is very durable, and generally has a metal frame that will resist damage. The limiting factor of a particular stand's lifetime is generally its design, not its actual construction.
By carefully considering your needs before you start building, you could save your company money in the long run. Certainly avoid making your trade show exhibit too generic, because then it will not be effective. Do incorporate elements that will make it more universally appealing in favor of something that relates only to your current product. Classic elements like sweeping curves and daring positioning will never go amiss, but avoid following trends too closely unless you are planning to replace the display shortly. Only time can tell which trends will endure and which will not.
Updating Aspects Of Your Exhibit
Reordering elements for the same original display is a viable way to update some designs. You may have to work closely with the design company to accomplish your intended appearance, but it is generally possible to maintain the old basic design while creating an entirely new outward presentation. Companies should not try to redesign an entire display on their own; a good design company is almost always necessary to provide consultation and advice.
In addition your trade show exhibit must have a quality structure and strong initial construction in order to be a viable candidate for reorganization. If you are struggling to make your display fit with other trade show booths, or can't determine whether a particular element is strong enough to support a new feature you want to add, it may be best to replace it before the next event. Displays which are poorly designed at the beginning cannot be easily re-adapted. Even if they appear to be sturdy, they may not have the timeless quality that a good display must possess.
