No matter where you choose to vacation in Hilton Head, you are sure to have a memorable and fantastic time. Vacationers come to Hilton Head every year for our beautiful beachfront and ocean view rentals, spectacular golf courses and fun local activities. This breathtaking island is also known for exceptional cuisine and fresh seafood, with a wide array of nightlife, boutique shopping and the many natural wonders and wildlife. Among the favorite places to vacation on Hilton Head are some lovely areas filled with fantastic vacation rentals, including Forest Beach, Singleton, Palmetto Dunes, Shipyard, Sea Pines, Folly Field, Port Royal and Ocean Palms.
Some might say Forest Beach offers the best of everything, with a nice mix of white sand beaches along with wonderful amenities at Coligny Plaza, including great shops and fine dining. At the center of it all is Coligny Beach Park where you will find plenty of spots to put down a beach chair and relax or people watch. At Forest Beach, you will find luxury rentals, gorgeous beaches, and plenty to keep you busy during your vacation.
The Singleton Area is an exclusive community filled with new and luxury home rentals on the beach or with ocean views. This stretch of beach has less traffic than the other beaches, making it more private and quite pristine. The Singleton Area also has the addition of a new grand park, offering tennis courts, various athletic fields, walking paths and a dog park. This area will fit the discriminating vacationer seeking a large, luxury home rental on a beautiful stretch of beach.
Located near the center of the semi-tropical Hilton Head Island, Palmetto Dunes offers an array of private home rentals along with oceanfront villas/condos and fairway or lagoon view villas/condos. The Palmetto Dunes plantation is a private and quiet area for those looking for rejuvenation. Palmetto Dunes also offers three golf courses, a tennis center and miles of walking and biking paths. The picturesque and entertaining Shelter Cove Marina is also conveniently located nearby.
With its tranquil lagoons, endless fairways and winding oak and palm-lined roads, the Shipyard Plantation has a unique feel to it compared to other vacation spots on Hilton Head. This smaller plantation has three golf courses, a clubhouse, tennis courts and plenty of quiet bike paths. The beach can be accessed from the convenient Shipyard Beach Club.
Sea Pines is known as the birthplace of Hilton Head Island, and it has an endless array of beach activities, three championship golf courses, two marinas and unique shops and restaurants. All this flanked by 5 miles of white sand beach and you will see why Sea Pines is one of the most popular Hilton Head destinations.
Folly Field has a variety of vacation accommodations, but what makes it unique is the availability of large oceanfront resorts, perfect for families seeking a convenient beach location with plenty of activities offered on-site. Another aspect of Folly Field that keeps visitors coming back each year is the Folly, a beautiful salt marsh that is filled by high tide twice a day.
Port Royal is located on the northernmost part of Hilton Head Island and serves as one of the best values on the island, with villas and townhomes that are about one block from the ocean making for more affordable accommodations. Port Royal is in a location ideal for side trips and ocean adventures, and pods of dolphins are often seen on this quiet stretch of the beach, near Port Royal Sound.
Ocean Palms features some of the most luxurious villas on Hilton Head Island, along with access to all of the wonderful amenities of the Westin Hilton Head Resort. Nestled within a park-like tropical garden setting, the Ocean Palms villas offer all the amenities of home, along with golf, tennis and beach activities.
