Being a strong woman is a hard job. You have to deal with criticism maturely and stay true to yourself and your feelings at the same time. The only way to deal with this effectively is to have confidence in who you are.
Confidence itself isn’t just feeling good about yourself and the way you look, although that helps. Having confidence is about feeling strongly about your opinions, valuing yourself and what you do. Confidence is your own eternal gratefulness for just being the wonderful person that you are. When you have confidence you are telling yourself that you wouldn’t change you for the world. Having this sort of confidence - could turn any regular woman into a superstar, don’t you think?
Being a superstar doesn’t necessarily mean that you are going to have a lot of money or photographers chasing you everywhere but it does mean that people are going to admire you and support you.
Why? Confident women are needed in the world. A confident woman shows society that just because you aren’t a man, doesn’t mean that you can’t work twice as hard, be twice as fabulous, and feel twice as good about yourself as a whole.
Having confidence turns ugly Betty into beautiful Betty. Not as far as physical appearance, but there’s just something about confidence that everyone admires! There is not one man or woman in the world that doesn’t want to be friends with a confident woman. You often see quietly confident women behind a success man. When times are tough, it’s the confident woman who makes everything right. She keeps her strength so that her family doesn’t fall apart.
Confidence can be learned and if you aren’t a confident woman already, you can be in no time at all. In order to be confident, you have to trust yourself. You have to believe that you are beautiful inside and out. Your opinions matter, your feelings are always going to be right, and that you don’t have to settle for less than what you want.
This may sound like you are being self-absorbed but on the contrary you are actually being an authentic woman. To be confident you have to discipline yourself in many areas of your life. If you constantly listen to your negative self talk, you aren’t going to feel confident. Break your bad habits and be grateful for who you are and what you can achieve – if you want to!
Discipline is the hardest part of being confident but is the only thing you really have to master. It’s easy to get started - believe in yourself. Start with setting small goals to reach. As you complete each goal, you’ll feel the confidence start to build inside you. You’ll be able to move on to bigger goals and in a very short amount of time your confidence levels will be soaring! The more experience you gain in achieving goals and building confidence, the more you can help those around you achieve their goals.
Being a strong, confident woman means you are giving your all to yourself, your family, and to being a positive influence to those around you. This takes the meaning of "Girl Power" to another level!
