The focus in this day and age seems to be our health and precisely how fit we are. One of the best ways to keep in shape is to workout . Yet, in this article I want to tell you about how I stay fit and earn a living at the same time. When my children flew the nest, I felt a little bored and wanted to do something unusual with my life. In my prime years, I was actually a physical education teacher and had also done a lot of courses in fitness. Thin, healthy and great was how individuals used to describe me.

The problem with going back to this occupation was that you had to work 5 days a week for at least eight hours. I did not want to rejoin the rat race and graft every hour god sent. Working from home sounded good, so I had a look on the net. I didn't know what roles were on offer but wanted to do this as it would give me free time. There were a number of jobs available, writing articles, addressing envelopes and tele-sales. None of these jobs struck me as being something I wanted to do.

Courses in personal training was the next advertisement that was shown to me. This was definitely something I was interested in but then uncertainty started to creep into my mind. The pounds had slowly appeared on my hips over the years. I tried several diets but they had not worked. I had become unhealthy and knew I had to do something. I knew that I could do the class, when I signed up at my local gymnasium and had a whale of a time. The extra fat had began to drop off when I started exercise every day. I was ready for any challenge thanks to my new found fitness.

I made enquiries of how to become a personal fitness coach. I also started studying a lot of facts on the net. The information mentioned other skills that were needed such as patience and commitment. It all listed being a terrific listener as a quality that was needed and my friends and family had always said to me that I was.

Every month there was a course happening, just 30 miles away from my home town. When I enrolled for the course, I was very anxious but within minutes I had settled into the class. I also passed with flying colours. I was really upbeat though as it proved you can do anything no matter what your age is. I wanted to put my qualification to use so started looking for a place so that I could set up corporation.

Setting up my own business would be the icing on the cake. I did a lot of investigating on-line about registering my company. I chose a snazzy name and took out public liability insurance. Within weeks, I spotted an advert with premises for rent and they were perfect. I was eventually open for business but needed to promote it to the town.

My friends rallied round, most of them attended my 1st classes. New customers soon appeared, many of them preferring one-to-one personal training sessions. This is one of the most amazing jobs I have ever had because the delight I get from it is overwhelming. If you have ever thought about this vocation, then stop thinking and just do it.

Courses in personal training is one past time that was completed by Joyce Stewart who is a freelance writer. Size doesn't matter that much if you want to become a personal trainer and Joyce Stewart is living proof of this.
