With the advent of an extensive range of environmental tools, farmers are now able to grow crops even in unfavorable conditions. With the help of fertilizers and insecticides, the agricultural conditions are taken care of. But the effect of these chemical fertilizers is in turn leading to harmful consequences for the environment. The chemical fertilizers that are mostly used in the fields are in fact emerging to be dangerous for the environment. To take care of all these negative consequences, the governing bodies of many countries are conducting hazardous materials management programs. These programs are quite beneficial for those dealing in the harmful products. These hazardous materials training programs equip individuals with management skills regarding dangerous goods.
The hazardous materials training programs offer training sessions to individuals who deal with these harmful materials. There are three types of training programs - IMDG, IATA and 49 CFR. The aims and objectives vary from program to program. As far as the IMDG training is concerned, its one of the principal hazardous materials training programs that aim to teach individuals the skills related to international ocean shipments. Next comes the IATA hazardous materials training session. It aims for international air shipments. The 49 CFR training is a must for all individuals under hazardous materials management. It takes into consideration the domestic, truck, rail, air and ocean shipments. There are also professionals who provide shippers info on packing, labeling, marking etc.
The International Maritime Dangerous Goods or IMDG hazardous materials training program provide training on shipping requirements for delivering harmful products through ocean. On the successful completion of an IMDG program, you cover a wide number of areas ranging from IMDG marketing, packaging to labeling. While undergoing IATA or International Air Transport Association training program, individuals are provided with guidelines about transportation of dangerous goods through air.
As per the hazardous materials training program, harmful goods are divided into nine categories – explosives, corrosive, oxidizers, liquid flammables, solid flammables, radioactive gases, combustibles, poison and miscellaneous. All these harmful goods are collectively termed as HAZMAT. These harmful chemicals are handled and transported throughout the globe. Therefore, utmost care is taken so that any of these dangerous goods doesn't spread out in the open air. Owing to carelessness, if any of the harmful products is exposed, it might lead to big mishaps. Therefore, its always better to opt for these hazardous materials training programs to ensure safety for humans as well as environment.
The DOT or Department of Transportation training program is designed to train those individuals working with or around radioactive materials. This is a web-based training session where you will get to know everything from transportation, packing to marketing. This online program is inexpensive and you can easily fetch all the details. Employees involved in the handling of hazardous radioactive packages and delivery of HAZMAT packages are given DOT training. The training will continue for the first 90 days of employment and will also be refreshed every three years. So those who are planning to get engaged in hazardous materials management must enroll for these hazardous materials training sessions.
