Before starting on your Hiking trip, there are 11 essentials you must have with you, even if you’re just planning a day trip, because if the unforeseen were to happen, you’ll be prepared.

Trails vary in use some are for day hikes, some for just exploring a designated predefined area, and some go for thousands of miles, like the Continental Divide Trail, a 3100-mile journey that travels through the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks. When most people refer to Hiking, they are talking about a one day excursion. Trekking usually means two or more days, with some camping involved. In the winter time, you can combine all sorts of activities with your hiking adventure. Consider bringing your Snowboard or Cross Country Skis along to compliment your itinerary, and on the way back down you might have some fun you’ll never forget.
