It's so easy to gain body fat, isn't it? All you need to do is eat more than you need and not move and you'll certainly fatten up. What's more difficult is losing it. Most of the time, losing body fat involves costly gym memberships and expensive prepackaged diet plans that are not only difficult to afford but impossible to sustain as well.
But if you're serious about losing body fat, there are cheap and proven ways to do it. This is because your body naturally recognizes your efforts to shape up and will do all it can to help you out. This isn't some mystical mumbo- jumbo, it's a proven scientific fact. Any excesses or bad habits will reflect itself in high cholesterol levels, cardiovascular diseases and colon and other cancers. However, if you take the time to correct it, your body will aid in the natural healing process.
Interested in the cheap and proven ways? Here you go!
-
Watch what and how much you eat. What you eat matters. To aid in fat loss, make sure that you go easy on the processed stuff. Anything that comes in a box is chockfull of calories, sugars and saturated fat that only contribute to your weight gain and not to your weight loss efforts. Instead of processed foods, go for fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, fish and lean meat. They are filled with nutrients, vitamins and minerals that are important in your fat loss campaign. And how much? Eat only enough to satisfy your hunger. Overeating does not usually stem from hunger but from cravings or emotional stresses. Train your body to eat enough to fill you up.
-
Mind how you eat. Multi-tasking has become such a buzzword that we combine eating with typing or wolf down lunches in as fast as 5 minutes! This shouldn't be done. Food should be chewed well. This way it digests easily and aids in the fat-burning process. A meal session shouldn't be shorter than 20 minutes. This is the least amount of time that you need for your food to digest properly.
-
Keep your activity levels up. You don't need a gym membership to keep moving! Walk instead of drive, if the place you're going to is within walking distance. Or you can always invest in a bike and use this. A no-cost exercise regimen to burn away fat is brisk walking. You can also buy cheap exercise videos of virtually any workout of your choice and do this right in the comfort of your own living room. If you're looking to gain muscle as well, you can always do bodyweight exercises at home too.
-
Manage stress. Stresses always wreck havoc on our bodies and makes us stupidly do things that we normally wouldn't do, like overeat. The next time you get tempted to reach for that chocolate cake because you didn't get a raise when you bargained for it, you know you're stressed out. Stop yourself from eating and go for a walk or a jog instead.
-
Live healthy. Alcohol makes you gain weight. If you want to get rid of the body fat, you have to minimize the partying and the booze levels. Social drinking is fine but if you're going overboard with it, that's going to help you store fat instead of lose it.
