Terpene lactones improves memory by improving the stimulation of the neurotransmitter component choline in the nerve synapses and it helps guard against blood clots in the brain, providing some protection against metabolic injury. By improving bloodflow throughout the brain has shown to help improve and preserve memory.

Alzheimer's is believed to decreased blood flow to the brain; that being said ginkgo's antioxidants effects may be a big help in its treatment. Either way, ginkgo biloba’s supplementation could be used to help fight and possibly treat Alzheimer's.
