Surprising Advantages Of Table Top Displays And Other Small Units

There is more to the value of a convention exhibit than its size. Although the eye is naturally drawn to large booths, it won't necessarily hold your attention for more than a few moments. Successful exhibiting involves getting attention, and then turning it into interest in the company and eventually investment in the product or service being offered. Table top displays may not look as visually dynamic in just a quick glance, but they have many other strong points.
Great Return On Investment
Banner stands are inexpensive. They are probably the most inexpensive type of exhibit on the market, but they still present very well. People won't even realize how little you spent to achieve the great showcase look of your booth with these units. When you buy smaller, you almost always get more than your money's worth in business. Larger units cost more, and don't attract dramatically more leads (provided you have designed and staffed your pop up displays properly.) When you compare investment in materials to leads generated, smaller table top displays are almost always ahead of any other units.
Clear, Focused Designs
When your design team has less room to work with, the end result is usually a more compact, tightly focused exhibit. There is no room for unimportant information, so everything is pared down to its bare essentials. This means that your visitors are able to get the information they seek quickly, making them more likely to have a favorable reaction to your banner stands. Many larger booths fall flat because they distract visitors from what's most important. When your space is limited, there is no choice but to focus purely on what's crucial for visitors.
Even when a designer of a larger space makes a point to keep that focus, it's often harder to drive it home on a big canvas. There are many points that could attract the eye; narrowing it down so that one stands out above all others is a difficult task. In addition, the designer must account for a lot of empty space - something that is not an issue with pop up displays.
Uncluttered Presentation
Banner stands and table top displays tend to make exhibitors streamline their presentation space simply because that space is smaller. You must organize everything very carefully to be sure it fits, and you have to maintain that organization throughout the convention. Although this small space might seem a drawback, it's one of the best attributes of pop up displays. There are a limited number of things you can place in that space. It's prime real estate for your promotional materials, and visitors know that. They'll know exactly where to go for important information, something that isn't necessarily true in larger booths.
Easy To Set Up And Move
Finally, a small unit is just easier to manage, especially if you travel alone. Many large exhibits cannot be handled by one person, and some even require a team of specialists to get set up. When you're exhibiting banner stands, you can carry them alone. They may be so small and light that they don't even require a rolling carrier. You save on shipping, storage, and stress on your body from trying to push and pull a heavy load.
Do these advantages mean that a small exhibit always beats a bigger stand? No, because large units have advantages as well. It simply means that you shouldn't dismiss the notion of choosing table top displays because you have the budget for something bigger. Talk to your exhibit adviser. Discuss your needs and make an informed decision to get the unit that's best for you.
