If you've tried other exercise programs and haven't seen your desired results, you may be wondering if using kettlebells can really help you lose weight. While every system requires some effort, kettlebells also have some unique features that have helped others reach their weight loss goals. Made popular in Russia, these kettle shaped weights have become a worldwide fitness movement for good reason.
When to other forms of exercise, kettlebells are more effective, convenient, and less expensive. While some people complain that they aren't actually cheap, the price has come down recently as they become more popular. The price of kettlebells is indeed low, however, when compared to that of an exercise machine that won't give you the same benefits. And kettlebells are more convenient because they take up little space and can be stored in your closet when not in use. For a simple tool that helps you become more fit and allows you to perform dozens of workouts, this is quite impressive.
Although kettlebells have an unusual appearance, at least if you're used to dumbbells and barbells, they are actually quite a convenient way to work out. You can use these weights at both home and the gym. Some people like that dumbbells are adjustable but this can make them dangerous. If the weight isn't secured properly, it can fall off and the weight can shift position in the middle of an exercise causing an injury. Kettlebells, however, are sold at different weights so it's important to choose a weight that's appropriate for you. You should start with something you can easily handle and then gradually work your way up.
The squat is a well-known exercise performed with free weights, as well as kettlebells. In truth, for a high number of individuals, this is a more improved and safer option for performing squats, in particular if your ambition is to develop fitness and shed pounds rather than forming large muscles. You can perform a squat by clutching the kettlebell with both hands at shoulder level, holding it by the weight end, as opposed to the handle. Keeping your back as feasible and the kettlebell gripped in front of you bend your knees into a squatting position. Work your way up to performing 8 to 10 reps of this exercise and make it a regular part of your kettlebell workout.
The real key to weight loss is burning more calories than you take in a day. Because kettlebells allow you to do fast, intense workouts that increase your metabolism, they help you do this efficiently. The other side of the equation, the calories you take in, still needs to be considered.
You need to give your body the nourishment it needs, but you need to watch your overall calorie intake and focus on eating healthy foods. Without the right diet, even the best exercise program won't give you long term results. Those who realize that both these factors are important are the ones that are succeeding at losing weight.
You may find that kettlebells are what you need to help you work out consistently and lose excess weight. They provide you with a simple way to get a total body workout that includes both cardio and resistance training. You have to take it seriously and give it time to work, however, like any exercise program. Kettlebells aren't new, but they very well may be the workout of the future.
Trying to keep in top condition is about commitment and willpower. In cases where you do have a home fitness space it can be much easier to self motivate to exercise. You can do it when you watch the tv. We recommend a piece of equipment like the
Body Solid G10B bi-angular home gym. It is going to help stay fit and healthy and you may have a good time while you do so.
