While I was growing up, I did not visit the dentist office very often. When I did visit the dentist it was always a bad experience. I never wanted to go back. I wish I had heard of Wisdom Teeth Only back then.

I had already had a horrible experience with a tooth removal. I was so scarred. Every time I went to the dentist I was subject to the services that left me in pain.

The time came in my life when I needed my wisdom teeth removed. This activity struck fear to my core. I was convinced I was going to be subjected to torture. I was a junior in high school, I had only used the services of a dentist a whole 5 times in my whole life. This may have been the first and only time in my life that shear fear consumed my thoughts.

The day finally came, looking back I wish I had heard of Wisdom Teeth Only, the experience would have gone so much smoother if I had. I did not have oral surgery.

My mom made my appointment with a normal dentist. This dentist believed that he would remove one side and the next week he would remove the other side of wisdom teeth. He began his "oral surgery" by shooting me up with Novocain. As soon as he thought I was numb, he went about applying his services and began to cut my gums open. I have never felt such pain. He was digging away, while I was crying away. He finally realized I was crying and gave me another shot, and returned to his activity. Still I felt intense pain. After what seemed like eternity...he finished one side of the wisdom teeth. I went home with my mouth full of gauze, and I slept the next two days.

My cheeks were so swollen on side of my mouth, I really looked deformed. As soon as I could speak, I told my mother I am not going back next week for the other side of torture. I would take my chances of growing up the one side of wisdom teeth.

The funny part is that people had told me that my fears were unfounded. Once I got there I would report that it was a wonderful experience. My time in torture was sadly true, and I was not going back.

My mother finally had pity on me. She scheduled my other wisdom teeth removed with an oral surgeon. Since my last experience was so bad, I was just apprehensive about going to this surgeon as the dentist. I had never been to an oral surgeon so I had no experience to draw upon.

The only thing I remembered sitting in the chair and counting backwards...then nothing. I woke up, my mouth was still full of gauze, but there was no pain. I could not believe it. If only I had heard of Wisdom Teeth Only, I could have avoided the whole dentist bad experience.

The oral surgery had no complications and healed quickly. The swelling was minimal and I did not look like a chipmunk. This experience convinced me of the importance of oral surgeons and I have made sure that when my kids have the need to have their wisdom removed that we go to Wisdom Teeth Only. They can ease the fears and pain of wisdom teeth removal.
