The fluid bed processing technology is entirely air dependent. It only uses air to cool, dry and heat the bulk solids materials like polymers, grains, bulk powders, sugars and biosolids. Furthermore, it uses large horsepowers fans to take in volumes of air which will be use to directly cool the bulk materials. In some cases, the air must be chilled first before using it in order to achieved the require cooling temperature. The expense involve in the processing, chilling and cleaning of the air is very high that's why this processing technology have higher energy requirements compared to other processing methods.

But today, there are already better alternatives to fluid bed cooling. The modern technology had paved the way in creating these highly efficient alternatives that ensure superior quality bulk products and at the same time energy efficient. Most of all these alternatives are proven to be emission free and planet friendly.
