Those clubs that are used for hitting golf ball over long distances are called golf drivers. According to the height of the player and the swing that is required, the length of the golf driver is adjusted. Golf drivers should be best fit to enhance the distances of the golf drives. Players prefer golf drivers made of different materials as the material influences the shots and thus, manufacturers are using different materials to make golf drivers. Most of the golf drivers are made up of complex materials such as titanium, carbon and steel.

Steel golf drivers are less expensive than other materials and are very heavy. These drivers are highly metallic and they give a traditional look to the equipment. Steel drivers posses smaller heads as they are steel made and thus, a little flexibility. They can form the core of your long drive gear but are usually used for domestic tournaments.

Carbon- made golf drivers are well-known for their long shots. They are flexible enough to help golfers with slow swing to hit the ball to a distant place. The clubs made from carbon are light weight and look elegant in the kit. They are used for professional purposes mainly in the domestic competitions. As these golf drivers are affordable, they are used by many professionals around the world. The durability of these golf drivers is an issue but overall the performance of these golf drivers is better than the steel ones.

The most expensive golf drivers are made from titanium. Titanium has been a breakthrough in the game of golf. Titanium golf drivers are light in weight and have a sweet hitting spot due to the larger head, which helps in hitting the ball to far of places. The development of titanium drivers has made it very easy for the professionals to drive the ball to long distances and these are long lasting as well as they don't rust. As these drivers are highly durable they are considered by many as long lasting. These titanium rods are considered as most expensive but the comfort they provide makes them the first choice among those who play at the international level.

Another type of golf drivers are the composite ones that are made of a titanium ally with few non metals. Composite drivers are also light in weight like the titanium drivers but and are equally durable as well. These titanium rods are light in weight and thus, the manufactures have used an optimum weight at the center to develop a good stroke for the club. Composite drivers are being used by a large number of players from all over the world as they offer a superb performance. Apart from the material used in making the club, another thing that is important is the height. People who are experts in playing golf love to use long drivers as it can help them in driving the ball to far of places. However, the learners should use short drivers to gain control on direction.

As it is rightly said" popularity is like sword and its use depends on the character". This applies similarly in the game of golf too as golfers have their best friends and enemies hidden in the golfing kit only, irrespective of illegal golf clubs.
