There are many advantages to having a protein shake as a regular part of your daily diet. With protein shakes, you will have a much better chance of achieving your fitness and weight loss goals. You can purchase commercially made protein shakes, or make your own according to your own unique specifications. Because many prefer to have control over what they put into their body, most mix their own protein shakes rather than buy the commercially prepared variety. Most people who consume a lot of protein drinks tend to mix their own because it gives them full control over the end product. Too often those pre-mixed brands are loaded with sugar and other unwanted ingredients. If you're interested in the quickest possible weight loss, or getting really fit, why make a habit of consuming "health" drinks that contain added sugar and other chemicals.
There is probably no better way to start your day than a protein enriched fruit smoothie. You can mix your own using bananas, strawberries, blueberries, milk and protein powder. Try different combinations until you find a taste you really enjoy. I mix these up in my ninja, but a quality blender of any sort will work just as well.

For me, the best protein source is whey, because it taste great and is among the most easily absorbed form of protein and is easily digested. After eight hours of sleep the body needs its best meal of the day to replenish protein, vitamins and minerals and other vital nutrients. A protein enriched fruit smoothie finds its way into the bloodstream almost immediately and makes the ideal breakfast first thing in the morning.
Protein shakes, while once only consumed by professional athletes and bodybuilders, have found acceptance among the general population interested in fitness and weight loss. A quality fruit smoothie can be prepared in just a few minutes and is a great way to begin a new day. If you want to feel satisfied without a lot of unwanted fat, sugar and calories, a protein shake or delicious fruit smoothie makes an ideal breakfast.
Whether you want to mix your own protein shakes, or you prefer to purchase ready made drinks, there are protein shakes and meal replacement drinks to satisfy any need. If you have not already added one or more protein shakes or meal replacement shakes to your daily diet, you owe it to yourself to do so since the benefits are so numerous.
Adding protein shakes to your daily diet help you keep full longer, and feeling satisfied, while supplying the nutrition your body desperately needs, especially while trying to lose weight or improve your overall fitness level.
