Don’t fret Egypt is home to some of the friendliest and most helpful people you’ll ever meet. So, pack your bags (and your patience) and get ready to experience the best of Egypt.
What to pack?
When it comes to packing, the key is to pack light but be prepared for a variety of temperatures. Egypt can be hot during the day, so make sure to pack plenty of light, airy clothing. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect you from the sun. It can also get chilly at night, so make sure to bring a light jacket or sweater.
Where to go?
Egypt is a popular destination for those seeking to explore ancient history, unique culture, and the incredible beauty of the North African deserts. From the extraordinary Great Pyramids of Giza to the mystical Valley of the Kings, there are many places to explore when visiting Egypt. Whether you are looking for outdoor adventure or the chance to learn about the rich history of the region, the following list of must-see places will help you plan your Egyptian visit.
The city of Cairo is the gateway to many of Egypt’s fascinating historic sites. The iconic Great Pyramids of Giza are a must-see, as are the fascinating Egyptian Museum and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar. The Coptic Cairo area is home to several of the city’s oldest churches, including the world-famous Hanging Church and Abu Serga Church. Additionally, the beautiful gardens of Cairo provide welcome escape from the buzz of the city.
Heading south of Cairo to the city of Luxor offers a glimpse into some of Egypt’s most incredible sites. The Karnak Temple Complex, Valley of the Kings, and Valley of the Queens are all breathtaking examples from Ancient Egypt’s rich history. The colorful tombs of Pharaohs and their families can also be found here, as well as the fascinating Temple of Hatshepsut and the impressive columns of the Colossi of Memnon.
The Sinai Peninsula and the Red Sea Coast also provide many great opportunities to explore the outdoors. From snorkeling and diving on the lush coral reefs to climbing Mount Sinai and exploring the vibrant markets of Dahab, this region offers endless possibilities for travelers.
Finally, the city of Alexandria is a great destination for those seeking stunning views of the Mediterranean coastline. Here, visitors can find the remarkable Alexandria Library, the Roman Catacombs, and the spectacular mosques and monuments of Ramadan Castle.
Whether you are just looking for a quick getaway or a longer exploration of Egypt’s wonders, there are plenty of places to discover. By planning what you would like to explore and where you’d like to stay, you can ensure that your trip to Egypt is an unforgettable experience.
Where to stay?
The first place to stay when visiting Egypt is in Cairo. Cairo is the largest city in Egypt and is home to many of the country’s most famous landmarks, including the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.

Another excellent option for accommodations is to stay in one of the many luxurious resorts that are located just outside of Cairo. The Marriott Marquis City Center Cairo and the Inter Continental Cairo Semiramis are two of the best resorts in the area.
