When it comes to time and attendance services, there is little, to no room for error. In addition, the competitive nature of business forces you to optimize your resources and cut back on your costs. Thus, the proper services is critical in meeting your business overall objectives. In this article, I will give you a guide on how to locate the best time and attendance services for your business needs.
First, you need to sit down and formulate a plan first. Perhaps the best thing to do is to locate two or three individuals within your company and designate them as your task force for helping you with formulating the project plan.
In this plan, you want to analyze the situation of your business. The first thing you want to do is go through and locate all the current manual processes that you think can be automated. Also, make a note of your current policies and how they relate to these manual processes.
Next, set goals in three areas -- corporate goals, technology goals, and process goals. Also, if there are any other goals, note them as well. Once you get an idea of your goals, and what processes you can automate, now it's time to prepare a projected savings analysis. What you're looking for is what you think any reasonable service would help you automate.
If you find that your current processes will not be able to automate it too much, or your savings will be insufficient, then the answer is simple -- stick with your regular time and attendance services. However, if the numbers look right, now is time to start looking at the market.
Start with an initial list of different vendors who offer services in time and attendance. Narrow it down to three or four competitors that are most harmonious with your corporate, technology, and process goals. Determine the cost of each service, and compare it to how much you anticipate saving from the investment. What you're looking for is a service that will actually give you a return on investment.
If you have done all the steps above, then you can't go wrong with finding the right time and attendance services for your company. Sure, it takes a bit of work, but it is worth it.
