Plastic surgery has been on the rise every single year since doctors started doing the procedures. There are many types of procedures that are available to correct many different problems people have with their body. From facial, body and breast surgery; there is something for everyone. There is basically a surgery available for everyone to benefit from. Sclerotherapy is one of the many types of surgeries that is becoming more and more famous in mainstream America. This article will examine Sclerotherapy and everything that is associated with this plastic surgery procedure.
To start we will be analyzing and understanding what Sclerotherapy is. This procedure is a plastic surgery method that is used to treat blood vessels and veins. The blood vessels are usually affected by the special medicine that is usually injected into the blood vessels. Hemorrhoids and varicose veins are just a few of the conditions that the procedure is a able to reduce.
Foam sclerotherapy is another procedure that is available. To get this procedure to work properly, a trained doctor injects foamed sclerosant drugs which is the taken in the blood stream. A syringe is often used to inject the mixture which is a foam containing the drugs Sodium Tetradecyl Sulfate and polidocanol. An external hose is used to feed air and co2 into the syringe. The effectiveness of this procedure is very good as it is able to cover and work in a much wider area.
The sclerotherapy procedure does have complications associated with it. As with any kind of plastic surgery there are some risks that may arise. Sclerotherapy is invasive and that means there is a risk of the formation of blood clots in the veins. There is also scarring and severe inflammation that may occur. Some people who have the procedure done have also experienced allergic reactions to the sclerosing solution. The solution may contain some ingredients that may cause individuals to have an allergic reaction.
Another side effect of Sclerotherapy is the increase of pigmentation irregularity. The skin can be affected by pigmentation irregularity which is the increase of brown splotches across the skin. These take a long time to fade and this could be from months to up to a year.
Sclerotherapy is known to have risks, however these can be reduced substantially if you have a doctor that has been trained properly. They should know about the different sclerosing agents and the proper methods to do this procedure.
The demand for plastic surgery has increased over the years and there seems to be no end in site in the distant future. This often gives people the opportunity to change an aspect of their body that they feel does not look right. One such imperfection that many women have is the fact that they have spider veins. The spider veins however can be removed by the procedure called Sclerotherapy. The procedure has the ability to reduce the look of the veins as it relates to a womans body. Sclerotherapy is not without its downsides as side effect usually happen after treatment.
Sclerotherapy is a topic that James Dalton has a vested interest in. As a writer he finds joy in writing on many different topics. He has done research on lipodissolve and the popular Hydroquinone.
