One in 4 New York City adults is obese and over one third of American adults are overweight. Yet, the problem isn’t that they just want to lose weight without exercise or they don’t try.

Right now, over 51 million Americans are probably on crash diets and yet after a week or two you’ll just find them more frustrated and going on food binges brought on by their poor dieting choices or unmanaged weight loss program.

The truth is there is no magic bullet when it comes to losing weight. There are no weight loss miracles. To achieve a sensible weight loss and healthy weight management you would need to make a caloric deficit every day.

So how can you achieve this?

By eating same amount of food but with low calories so you won’t feel that you are depriving yourself of food. Read product labels and count calories. Choose low fat.

Regular exercise but If you really can’t handle exercising for some valid reason, then you could try to increase your daily activities.

Try shifting your concentration away from trying to lose weight and concentrate more on having a healthy lifestyle. Drink a lot of water, sleep and take off some of the stress away.

By doing this simple lifestyle changes, you can take a better approach to weight loss even without exercise (but with activities), and combined with a healthy eating habit, you will find your weight easier to manage.

Any advertisement for a weight loss product or service that says you don’t have to change your eating habits or increase your physical activity level to lose weight

is just selling you false hope.
