Car accidents are claiming more and more lives as the years pass by. In fact, it has become one of the leading causes of death in the nation. Studies also prove its inevitability and its common occurrence.

A direct blow to a person’s limbs can cause his bones to break. Some of broken bones can be rehabilitated but then there are cases wherein bones in limbs are crushed and so amputation would have to be administered.
Exercising Extra Caution
Now that we know major injuries that have resulted from car crashes, it is important to exercise extra caution in order to avoid these injuries. Here are some of the precautions and reminders while driving.
• Avoid speeding and swerving, as they have reportedly caused most vehicular accidents.
• Keep headlights and taillights on especially at night to be able to see clearly approaching vehicles and to be visible to other motorists as well.
• Do not drive while intoxicated as alcohol and other harmful substances can affect one’s judgment and eyesight.
• Obey traffic lights and signs.
• Be alert on the road so that you will be able to execute good decisions.
• Maintain the good condition of the car to avoid engine troubles on the road
• Have enough sleep before long drives to ensure that you would not fall asleep on the wheels.
Things to do after an Accident
After an accident, victims might feel dazed and in a state of shock. He must remain calm and seek for help or ask someone to call the emergency hotline. He must then have himself checked and, as much as possible, document the scene as this would strengthen his case.
During a car accident, a victim must immediately seek medical attention and later, ask the assistance of his lawyer to help him how to handle the situation.
