The Japanese Diet
What the Japanese people eat has a lot to do with how they have such younger looking skin with beautiful complexions. They eat a lot of fish from the ocean and some sea vegetables, mainly seaweed.
Tip #1 Fish oil Omega-3
Omega-3 is high in fish especially fish from the sea. Also Omega-3 fatty acid can be derived from plants. I'll cover that in a moment. Fish oil as a source of Omega-3 fatty acid is very important but care should be taken as to where you get it. Not al fish oil is equal or even safe. The best source for purity that I found was with a company in the South Pacific. They distill the fish to remove the impurities and encapsulate for preservation.
Japan, because it is an island nation, depends on the ocean for a lot of its food supply. The Japanese have been doing this for centuries, eating fish daily, usually fresh caught. This routine obviously has been beneficial in many ways. One main reason is that it has become part of the culture and passed on to the next generation. This is a routine we would do well to copy.
Tip#2 Plant Omega-3
As mentioned Omega-3 is found in plants as well as in fish. Green veggies, especially the leafy type, are good. Japanese consume sea veggies, namely, Wakame. Wakame is a seaweed that has skin enhancing properties. Combining the fish oil with the sea kelp has resulted in some beautiful women. Also when you take the same basic ingredients from fish and plants and merge them into a skin care product, wow!!
Tip#3 Skin Care Products -Truly Natural
Blending the above ingredients into a skin care product makes for a powerful combination. To repeat: A. Eat a high quality diet that consists of fish oil and wakame seaweed or you can take a supplement that makes it much easier. See my website for an excellent recommended source. B. Use daily a skin care line that incorporates the above in its products.
Again some companies make high quality fish oil supplements and a few use wakame seaweed in their multi-nutrient supplements. Combining the two makes a very effective health care plan. But it also makes a very beautiful looking skin. Of course, be sure that your source of ingredients come from a reputable company that stands behind its product.
So to repeat the 3 healthy tips for Japanese skin care: Use fish oil that is carefully processed for purity. I found that the Hoki fish makes a very good Omega-3 source that gives great results. The seaweed I mentioned is called Phytessence Wakame. It is used by the same South Pacific company that manufactures the fish oil (HOKI) and the multi-nutrient supplements. I recommend them because I use them daily and am very pleased with the results. For more information and complete details, please see my website listed below. -Margaret Bell
