It so simple in its design and effectively cooks meat, vegetables and sandwiches thoroughly within minutes. The healthy aspect of this cooking marvel is the Teflon coated plates that serve as channels slanted toward the front. The grill plates are nice and large, and have a guard on each side to prevent food from sliding off. There is a 1-inch flexible hinge, which is awesome for grilling thick steaks or chicken breasts. It is perfect for cooking pannini or grilled cheese sandwiches, and also makes the cooking more even.

The plates heat quickly and can evenly distribute high temperatures across the surface of the food. This allows for an efficient method of cooking that minimizes the time from grill to plate. You can easily be eating your meal within 15 minutes or less depending upon the cooking time needed.

The electrical cord could be longer, but is sufficient for counter top use. Cleaning is easier with this design which includes removable plates that can be hand washed and dried. Other units have to be cleaned while the plates are attached, which can be a hassle.

All in all, this unit is a great addition to any family kitchen and should be useful for those looking for a healthy way to prepare their meals.
