Our hair is our mirror of personality and the base of our confidence. Graying of hairs before the age 35 is called premature graying of hair.
There are lots of reasons behind this premature graying of hairs. Excessive intake of tea, coffee, alcohol, meat, and fried, oily, greasy, spicy, sour, and acidic foods can reduce the moisture and nutrients reaching the hair follicles and may lead to premature graying.
The decreasing ratio of melanin production is due to lack of mineral copper. Eating of foods like crab, oysters, sunflower seeds, cashews and almonds prevents the premature graying of hair as they are full of copper which is very much important to prevent this.
Like copper iron and iodine are also vital for fresh blood supply and maintaining the health of our hair and to prevent the immature graying of hairs. Iron and iodine should be taken in the form of seafood. Fish is a good source of iodine but with this various vegetables are also the good options. Adequate supply of carrots, bananas, green vegetables, fruits is good to counter this untimely problem. Special mention should be made for carrots, as this vegetable is responsible for furnishing fresh air in our body capillaries and maintaining the health of our hair follicles.
Vitamin B complex is very fruitful to prevent the premature grayness of hairs. The most effective vitamins are the three vitamins of vitamin B complex. So these vitamins have to be supplied at one time preferably in a form which gives all B vitamins, such as yeast, wheat germ & liver. These vitamins are called anti- gray vitamins. And it can be produced in the intestinal track of bacteria. If you drink a liter of yoghurt with a tablespoon of yeast before each meal then it will be an excellent remedy for the prevention & the treatment of premature graying of hair. There are tablets also available, tablets of calcium pantothenate & PABA, they can be taken but not as a substitute of those vitamins but with the addition of those source of vitamins i.e. yeast and yoghurt.
Foods with artificial color and dried food are not so good for our digestive system and that is why we should always check our intaking of these types of food. Though they are tempting to our tongue but not too tempting to our health. Artificial colors and preservatives are also harmful to our digestive system can cause dry and brittle hair and dehydrated scalp. They do not supply any minerals and moisture to our hair and instead of that always damage the necessary nutrients of our hairs. Too many carbohydrates, such a pasta and bread, can diminish levels of antioxidants in your body that are needed to neutralize free radicals.
