Acne is a skin condition influenced by many factors; its development depends on how we make these factors disappear. Sebaceous glands, situated nearly deep within our skin, will produce more sebum, oily substance that moisturizes skin more than usually. These excess of sebum combines with dead skin cells and dust or dirt from sweat and clogs pores. And there appears red bumps, sometimes full with pus, called acne.
Stress can make acne symptoms get worse, but also light or moderate stress makes you more vigilant and makes you take care of treating acne better, because you are more conscious and determined to remove acne from your skin.
Usually acne is stress related, research has proven the link between acne and stress. When you are stressed, hormonal imbalances increase in our body, so because of stress acne can appear or get worse, you can gain wait and your blood pressure may increase. Some experts say that stress doesn't cause acne, it just makes it worse.
Stress worsens the overall skin condition and impacts every system in tour body, so you must try to reduce stress at minimum levels for your skin to be healthier. Stress can decrease the wound healing capacity of immune systems up to 40%.
So skin's balance must be maintained for skin acne treatment products to take effect. You must try to reduce stress levels to minimum, to have a healthy diet, to sleep well because also these factors influence both acne and stress; all of them are related one to each other.
You must use acne cleansers to remove accumulated sebum, makeup, sweat and dirt from skin and help unclogging pores, so skin will absorb topical treatments easier. A good hygiene is very important when you are under an acne treatment, but not only. A bad hygiene damage skin and skin condition gets worse. So you must wash with an acne cleanser usually twice a day. Do not overreact, because exaggerating with acne cleansers make skin dryer and more sensitive. If the skin is to dry, sebaceous gland will produce more sebum and moisturize the skin, so you will only make acne worse.
