Body sculpting: How To Get the Most Out of It
You might think you're that proverbial "98 pound weakling" that just can't do body sculpting so that you looked fit and ripped, but think again. In fact come you can do so, but you have to do it the right way. You can do body sculpting as long as you give yourself the proper tools to do so, meaning that you have to have a good workout program in place and a good schedule to follow, as well as the proper nutrition.
Body sculpting exercises you should consider
Now before I talk about the body sculpting exercises you should include in your program, I want to include a little caveat here, and that is that you shouldn't do too much too soon, especially if you haven't exercised for a while. Let's face it; if you get injured, you're going to be off your feet and not achieving the results you want. So start slow, but keep working at it and you should see results soon.
What body sculpting exercises should you be doing?
Overall fitness is the most important thing, so don't just focus on isolated exercises (although if you've got one particular part of your body that you want to focus on, you can do it first before the rest of your exercises, such as if you want ripped abs). Set up a "circuit training" of sorts where you're going to work on leg extensions, back extensions, deadlifts, the military press, rowing, squats, bench press, and so on. (You can do other exercises if you want to; these are just suggestions.)
You should do 10 to 12 reps in each set of each exercise, and you should do each at a weight that's relatively easy to lift at the beginning of the set and that you can barely lift at the end of the set.
Focus on the area you want to work on first
It's not necessarily true that you should work the area you want to focus on harder, but if you do it first, you're likely to be more focused on it and therefore do a more complete job; don't slack off on the rest of your workout, though, and do the entire circuit at full intensity. Finally, make sure you stretch, too, so that you don't risk injury. Do a minute of stretching for every two minutes you're working out.
Eating right, resting between workouts, and sleeping enough
This isn't talked about enough in a workout program for body sculpting, but no amount of working out is going to make you ripped unless you do everything else right, too. So you have to eat right, meaning that you include good food in your diet -- lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, "good" fats like omega-3 fatty acids and monounsaturated fats, and plenty of vegetables and fruits. If you're not getting enough calories from the food you eat, add a couple of meal replacement shakes to fill out your calorie requirements.
Resting between workouts is important, too. That's because when you work out, you actually injure your muscles and they have to repair and rebuild. If you don't give yourself a day of rest between workouts, you are basically shooting your own efforts down to become ripped and do body sculpting. So make sure you take a day off between workouts and work out just three to five days a week.
Finally, sleep enough, too. Elite athletes know that they have to get at least eight to 10 hours a night to be in the best physical condition, because that's when the body repairs and restores itself. So if you want the best results from your body sculpting efforts, you have to sleep enough, too.
