Hundreds of medications, treatments, cleansers and cosmetics are available for people with acne, but the most important elements of an acne-fighting program won't cost you a cent.
Taking care of your skin is very important, not only for your personal sense of beauty but also for your overall health. First of all you need to make sure that your diet is rich of protein and have less carbohydrate. Food that is rich of carbohydrate can cause acne and other skin problems since they are potential glycemic index.
Below are simple steps that you can follow to get a clear, smooth and acne-free skin.
Drinking green tea for at least two times a day is helpful as well. Research shows that green tea has antioxidants that will help diminish your acne problem. Select from among the various green tea products what you like best.
Drink several glasses of purified water. Most people who have acne problem must avoid drinking soda that contains acids, color and certain chemicals which is not good to the skin. Bear in mind that water helps a lot in preventing acne and even treating them.
Take a multivitamin daily. A good one would be centrum multivitamins. This way you will get all the essential vitamins to build up your immune system so that you can fight off acne and keep it away.
Wash your face at least twice per day with a gentle facial cleanser. The cleanser should contain salicylic acid to exfoliate your skin. This will help to get rid of the dust and bacteria which may accumulate on your skin's surface and block your pores.
Keep your skin clean and well moisturized. Using cleaners that are gentle on your skin is the most important part of this formula. They will help to remove dirt, bacteria, and oil that the environment produces. Make sure to choose the proper safe and gentle cleanser that will not dry out or irritate your skin.
The next step is proper nutrition and exercise. Drinking 6 to 8 glasses a day can do wonders for anyone's skin. Keeping your body hydrated will help your skin bounce back to its peak performance. This will also help to fight back against any further acne attacks you may encounter. Exercising 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week, helps your body to rid itself of harmful toxins. When you exercise you increase the blood flow which delivers more oxygen to your skin. Staying healthy from the inside out is a major factor in battling acne and the toxins that encourage it.
Oranges are also noted for their "pimple fighting" properties, and again you can either apply it to your zit-or you can just drink it.
Cucumber This is another one that has a lot of acne fighting properties that make it work. you can either put it directly on your zit or just attempt to eat it more.
