Bikini wear involves more than just getting a sun tan, toning up and fitting your body into a tiny piece of fabric. It also includes taking care of your hands and feet which, believe it or not, are even more noticeable than your skimpy swimwear. Just imagine yourself sitting on the beach and someone walks by you in a micro bikini. She stops to ask you for directions and while admiring her swimsuit, you look at her hands and feet and see dry, scaly and chaffed skin. Is that person still as appealing? Don't think so. So here are some tips on keeping your hands and feet looking nice and healthy.

Trimming

Claws are not in this year. Keep your fingernails and toenails trimmed. For your hands, as long as your nails are trimmed neatly, you'll be just fine. For feet, keep your toenails trimmed back past the top meaty portion of your toes. Don't let your toenails hang out over your toes. We don't want you to be confused with the wolfman.

Cleaning

Dirty nails on your hands or feet is an instant eye sore. Keep them clean by soaking them in a solution of soap and water. If you want to add some extra moisture, apply a few drops of baby oil into the water. Take a scrub brush and thoroughly go back and forth over them to make sure all of the dirt gets removed.

Dead Skin

Many people are stricken with dead skin on the heels of their feet. It's hard and extremely dry. A way to get rid of some of that dead skin is to soak your feet in a pan of hot water with soap and baby oil. Soak them for about 30 minutes until the dead skin is softened or loosened up. Then take a foot scrapper and scrape the dead skin off. You will notice a difference right way. To keep the skin soft and smooth, immediately apply a deep moisturizing lotion and wear socks whenever you can, along with lotion, to keep your feet moisturized.

Polishing

To reward your hands and feet for keeping them in such great condition. Pick out your favorite fingernail polish and paint your finger and toe nails. Use designs if you want. Make them very pretty. To keep your nails moisturized after polishing them and they have dried, moisturize your hands and feet with lotion. Do it often and when it's time to remove the polish, use a non-acetone polish remover so your nails won't dry out.

Protection

Gloves and socks are great protection for your hands and feet. They keep moisture in and protect your skin from the ultra-violet rays of the sun. Even in the warmest weather, some people wear gloves and socks to constantly keep their skin conditioned because dry skin can happen in any kind of weather.

Now that you have the tools to help you keep your hands and feet in micro bikini shape, go out and show them off. Remember to keep up a good routine of taking care of your hands and feet to be the envy of all your friends.
