Or, if you’re not up to reading, try headphones and your favorite mellow music. Sometimes your body will follow the rhythm and slow down to find its sleep mode. And you’ll be wrapped in your cocoon, in your own little world.
Make sure to take liquids, as you can. Start with water, and avoid things that will take away water from your body. These include coffee and caffeinated beverages. Herbal teas do not contain caffeine, so they can be handy. Chamomile is a nice, mellow choice.
If your flu continues for several days straight or gets worse, look for a phone number to call for trained medical advice or have someone take you to a clinic for a consultation. This also goes for any strange symptoms that may arise during you flu. There may be something else going on inside too.
An old fashioned remedy for the stomach flu can be worth taking time for, along with rest, and plenty of fluids. Together, they should help your body fight what ails you.
