Back acne is harder to treat than facial acne, because it is spread over a large area. It is also difficult to reach to all the affected areas and apply medication, besides cleaning it. The skin in the back is also tougher than the skin on the face, and the back has several sebaceous glands. The back acne is also normally more severe than the facial acne. The back acne has many pustules and cysts. Topical treatment may not be effective if the back acne is too severe. The Regimen is used for mild to moderate back acne.
The back acne Regimen is similar in content to the regular Regimen; only it contains more glycolic acid lotion. This medicine is available off the shelf in medical stores. The area affected with back acne has to be washed gently and dried, after doing so with a mild cleanser. The lotion then has to be applied on these areas affected with back acne, and it must be allowed to dry. This lotion can be applied in good volume, and then a moisturizer must be used. As much as possible, severe tension on the back must be avoided.
Backpacks must not be used when you are being treated for back acne. They tend to rub on the skin, and make the skin become worse as it will cause irritation. This kind of skin contact must be avoided till the acne in the back subsides. The skin on the back will vary from the skin on the face, and the skin can probably be comfortable with the medication. To be on the safe side, it is always better to use the medicine on some areas in the back, where you have been affected, till the other areas are tended to.
Another good way to control back acne, is to have a shower and then exercise well. It is important to note that this will not in any way cure the disorder. This is a good way to maintain a healthy body, which will in turn help you manage back acne. The body must also be allowed to freely breathe, and good clothing is a must when treating the disorder. Cotton is the best material to use when facing back acne. While stress and food does not cause back acne, it may be a wise idea to control both areas.
First the body will tend to be healthier if a lot of fruits and vegetables are consumed. Eating oily food is not going to help, and fighting acne will become more of a problem than before. Though the skin on the back is tougher, there is no need to use too much of harsh acne creams. This may cause dryness and irritation to the skin. While treating the disorder a few factors have to be taken into consideration. First the severity must be noted, and also the duration of the problem. This will help in deciding the dosage that has to be taken.
