There are four different aspects to looking good and feeling

fit. These are:

  • physical,

  • spiritual,

  • mental

  • emotional.

These are all important because:

  • A plan for physical health incorporates diet, nutrition

and exercise.

  • Spiritually we all need to find purpose in our life.

  • We need to develop our thought life and focus on the tasks

at hand. This will shape the type of person we become.

  • Our emotional health and stability are inter-related with

each of the three other aspects. We all encounter stress on

a daily basis. Our ability to handle that stress defines

us. If we look after these four areas of our lives we will

have abundant energy, improve your vitality and keep

looking good and feeling fit.

Diet is the single most influential factor in our overall

health. Our bodies are stronger and more resistant to

illness when we eat healthily and our teeth are straighter

and less prone to decay. A lot of research has been done

into this and it has been discovered that the people

groups who have the least disease are those from

"primitive" tribes who eat a lot of fresh game, fruit and

vegetables. These tribes are virtually free of diseases

such as cancer and diabetes but go on to contract these

diseases as they become more "civilised".

It's very interesting that there have also been some

dramatic cases of people from "civilised" countries who have

been cured from serious illnesses by changing their diet by

eating less processed foods and eating more natural fresh

foods. One of the most dramatic cases was Jordans Rubin,

from USA, who was cured from a very serious "incurable"

illness and was on the point of death. He had previously

tried many doctors in search of a cure. Eventually, he

found a doctor who put him on a diet similar to that

recommended in the Bible, with plenty of fresh fruit and

vegetables and his health and vitality were transformed

simply by a change in diet.

This is the type of food that he began to eat:

  • naturally fermented milk from raw goat's and cow's milk;

  • organically raised , free range or grass fed meat;

  • eggs and meat from free range chickens;

  • ocean caught wild fish;

  • natural sprouted or sourdough yeast-free bread;

  • raw nuts and seeds;

  • organic fruit and vegetables;

  • raw sauerkraut;

  • carrot and other vegetable juices.

Before he started on this diet his body had wasted away to

only 111 lbs, not a lot for someone 6 ft 1 inch tall, then

after changing his diet he gained 29lbs in forty days and

looked completely different.

So it is vitally important to eat healthy, fresh food to

look good and feel fit. If we can make just some of our

meals more nutritious our bodies will benefit greatly.

Many of us find this difficult because we have such busy

lifestyles. It's easier and quicker to grab a hotdog or a

burger for lunch than it is to eat a more nutritious meal.

If we do not start to change then nothing will change. This

sounds obvious but if we do not take the first step down the

road then we will never get to where we want to go.

So if we just make small changes to our diet it will be a

start. If we include the above items in some of our meals

our bodies will benefit greatly and we'll look good and feel

fit.
