An Austin cosmetic dentist must remember that he is usually dealing with multiple units of teeth that are being cosmetically re-designed and engineered to fit the confines of the patient’s head. These restorations must be able to function harmoniously with the rest of the teeth, TMJ, as well as, the ligaments and muscles. If these criteria are not met the case is destined for failure.

Communication between the Austin cosmetic dentists, patient is essential. Understanding the patient’s expectations and concerns is the only way an Austin cosmetic dentist can determine whether these are reasonable expectations, and will the restorations withstand a realistic lifetime of use. How many times have you seen veneers or crowns fracture or debond after a short period of time? It is very important to have a clear understanding of the patient’s present condition, and to have a clear understanding of the patient’s "wants" before any other steps are taken.

Thank you for the article! Do you know if my regular family dentist in Nogales would do these types of procedures? Or do I need to find a cosmetic dentistry specialist?

Yes, cosmetic dentistry is being used a lot more now. People who have always lived with their chipped teeth are getting them fixed and the people who have always had gaps where their teeth should have been are getting implants. It's kind of a miracle, really.

This is true. I would probably say that the most growing part of dentistry is cosmetic dentistry. People these days are really trying to look good and groom themselves.

I am so thankful that we have oral restoration technology today. I have had so many nightmares where my teeth have fallen out or been fractured and having to live like that the rest of my life. The latest dream I was living in the wild wild west days. So thankful when I woke up and felt all my teeth there.

you write this as though it must take a lot of serious contemplation on the dentists part before they become a dentist. I think most people already think very hard and carefully about their decision to become a dentist, that they are already committed to doing a good job at their work once they've become a dentist...so you don't need to remind them to contemplate about their work.

Finding a proper experienced dentist is very stressful. Before I found the right doctor for me, I asked people that I knew that had similar work done to tell me about their experience. In the end, I found Dental Implants Laguna Niguel http://www.markacruzdds.com/implants.html, it turned out to be affordable and reliable. He did a great job with my teeth. http://www.markacruzdds.com/, He is such a perfectionist !
