There are some interesting things about Internet Marketing numbers that you should know. Beginning with the fact that this can show you the two unique versions of search results your clients see whenever they use search. For example, did you know that when you create a PPC (Pay-Per-Click) advertisement, only half of the people that search the term will ever see the ad?

Even more intriguing is that this doesn't necessarily mean that the 50% of people who see this will click the advertisement, this is simply the number of people who see it. Similar to T.V. commercials, normally only 50% . Fortunately with Pay-Per-Click, you don't have to pay for the unviewed advertisements. You only pay for those times someone clicks on your ad.

First, you need to truly understand what a PPC is and what is can accomplish. An example being the links you see above (with a colored background) in the middle column and in the right column once you search a word or a phrase. These make up the ads that only one in two people will ever see. The short answer is that of all the people searching, most will not give these results a second of their time. They do not see the relevance of how the ads can help them in their search.

Now, the top 3 results in the organic answers will be seen 100% of the time, however; they will not all be clicked on the same amount of times. The first result in the organic search results for a key phrase (the words you typed in to search about) will be clicked on approximately 42% of the time. The third result in the organics list only 9% of the time.

If your link on the organic side is clicked, it is possible the person has a higher level of reliability in your web page and what they are reading. When they click the Pay-Per-Click, they know it is an advertisement, and now your website has to create a higher level of trust in order to overcome the fact the user clicked an 'advertisement'. Hopefully, these numbers are allowing you to think about opportunities where you could work a little to increase your organic search relevance. This opportunity could be an incredible benefit to you.
