Nail technicians are cosmetologists working in personal care industry and they are trained in the aesthetics of their clients' fingernails and toenails. In order to become a professional nail technician, they need to take additional education courses beyond the licensing process. The technicians must enroll and get graduation from beauty, cosmetology, vocational or trade school and subsequently obtain a Nail Technology Certificate.
