Rosacea before was not really recognized by people but since more and more adults are being afflicted with this condition, it is now considered a common skin disorder. More women have Rosacea but men also get this condition and they usually endure more strenuous symptoms when they break out.
More often that not, Rosacea outbreaks affect the face particularly the forehead, nose and chin but the cheeks can also be affected. Since having red cheeks are usually associated with either sunburn or extreme weather conditions, some people would assume that the redness and inflammation is triggered because of the weather but the truth is, the person is already affected and should immediately start using proper rosacea skincare.
According to statistics, more women who are in their middle age are affected with this condition. Most of these women are Caucasian and fair skinned. One of the most common trait of these women is they blush very easily.
There are specific triggers that can cause Rosacea although the common triggers are still not finalized because the triggers vary from person to person. According to research though, some emotions can cause breakouts such as anxiety, stress and fear. Scientifically, there are studies that also show that hair mites might play a role in causing Rosacea although there is still not enough evidence to make this theory a fact.
Some people mistakenly think that Rosacea is a bad form of Acne but this is not true. Acne and Rosacea are two different skin conditions. Some people who think that they have acne take anti acne creams which can actually worsen the condition of the skin because of the ingredients present in anti acne creams. There are cases wherein Acne can occur because of the ongoing irritation of the skin.
It is best to seek dermatological help to diagnose your skin condition then if your condition is Rosacea, seek treatment immediately. It is true that there is no cure for this skin condition just yet but there are treatments that can make your breakouts occur less. Also, do realize that good skin care routine and a blissful lifestyle can really make a difference.
